Terms of service

What we provide

Penlid generates, verifies and publishes content, measures visibility across search and AI engines, and estimates the effect of changes it makes. Availability targets and support response times depend on your plan.

What we explicitly do not promise

  • We do not guarantee rankings, traffic, citations or revenue. Search and AI engines are third-party systems we do not control, and anyone guaranteeing a position in them is either mistaken or misleading you.
  • Measurements are estimates with stated uncertainty. Our methodology page sets out the limits in detail, and those limits form part of these terms.
  • Generated content is your responsibility to review. We fact-verify checkable claims and block publication when a claim is contradicted, but you remain the publisher of anything that goes live on your site.

Your content and data

You own everything Penlid produces for you, and everything you connect. Ask us at any time, including after cancelling, and we will export your content, ledger and archive within 30 days. We claim no licence over your material beyond what is needed to provide the service.

Acceptable use

Don't use Penlid to publish content you know to be false, to impersonate a person or organisation, to generate content for sites you don't control, or to attempt to manipulate a third-party platform in breach of its own terms. We may suspend an account for any of these.

Billing and cancellation

Plans bill monthly or annually in advance. Cancel at any time and you keep access until the end of the paid period; we don't pro-rate refunds for partial months. Usage above your plan's limits stops rather than silently billing you — you set the cap.

We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions keep their price until the next renewal after that notice.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost traffic, or consequential loss.
